In 2018 Cambridge, Ontario based Artist Dan Badger stepped into the studio (Cedartree Studios) to record a string of self-written singles including his debut single “I Want to Kiss You” and he hasn’t looked back since. “I Want to Kiss You” (co-written with Jamie Warren), released in Sept 2018 was successfully welcomed to many radio stations across Canada. Including XM Satellite CBC Country 171, and feature spots including KX96 in Oshawa. Also achieving 2 weeks in a row at #1, and rounded off the year end countdown at #9 on True North Country Countdown which is a fan based countdown generated by votes from fans and listeners. He soon followed up with the release of “I Know” in April 2019 and his latest single released in August 2019, “Free Fallin’ in Love”( both songs also co-written with Jamie Warren), gathered ## radio stations across the country and helped him to earn a showcase opportunity at 2019 Canadian Country Music Association Award Week’s popular showcase – “Diamonds in the Rough”. Both releases achieved #1 on the True North Country Countdown with “ Free Fallin In Love” taking #6 for the year end countdown. Also taking the #1 spot for 2 weeks in a row throughout the year and filling the #6 spot on KB Country year end countdown. Along with regular activity and placement on other charts. Dan’s country rock solid singles translate extremely well to the stage, and you only have to catch one show to understand that he is an experienced and seasoned performer.
Evolving from solid influences such as Travis Tritt and Randy Travis to performing with bands such as High Noon (OCPMFA Bar Band of the Year Nominee) and Transit, Badger is no stranger to that full, polished, high-quality sound that really makes a modern country music performance unforgettable. Proudly Canadian, Dan comes from the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Frequently visits keeping a strong bond to his family ties. Dan moved to Ontario at a very young age, and has called this home for many years.
Over his years of performing Dan has had the opportunity to play with some of the best in the industry. He has had the pleasure of opening for; Terry Sumsion, George Fox, George Canyon, Julian Austin, Blake Shelton and more. He has also opened up for such rock artists as Glass Tiger and Brett Michaels of Poison. In addition to playing venues all over Southwestern Ontario, Dan has played at many festivals and fairs, including the Fergus Truck Show, the Kitchener Truckfest and the Burlington Sound Of Music Festival. While Dan has just wrapped up in the studio in 2023, he regularly plays local shows and even lends his time and talent to aid local charities.
